Identify
Your Needs:
Here are a few steps you might want to consider:
- Identify Your Needs: Before reaching out, take some time to clearly identify what kind of support you need. For example, do you need an interpreter, more time for exams, additional resources or materials, help with certain course content, or accommodations for physical or learning challenges?
- Reach Out Early: Contact us as soon as possible, explaining your situation and outlining the support you’re requesting. The earlier you inform us, the better we’ll be able to assist you.
- Document Your Request: It might be helpful to have your request in writing, via email. This can help avoid any misunderstandings.
- Follow Up: If you don’t hear back within a reasonable timeframe, be sure to follow up to confirm that we’ve received your request and can provide the necessary support.
Do you offer refresher training?

Do you provide lunch?
Yes, we do provide lunch for full-day courses such as the Sports Trauma and Emergency First Aid at Work. However, please note that lunch is only included for full-day sessions. Advance notice and a minimum number of participants are required.
What should I wear?
- Comfortable Clothing: Choose clothing that you can move freely in, like athletic wear or casual clothing. Avoid tight, restrictive or revealing clothing.
- Breathable Fabrics: Go for fabrics that are breathable and wick away moisture (such as cotton, moisture-wicking athletic wear, or soft synthetics). You might be moving around a lot, so comfort is key.
- Closed-toe Shoes: Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes with good grip, such as sneakers or comfortable boots, as you'll be on your feet and may need to move quickly during the training.
- Layers: Depending on the temperature of the training space, bring an extra layer or jacket that you can easily remove.
- Avoid Jewellery: It's best to leave jewellery at home or wear minimal pieces to avoid it getting in the way during physical activities like CPR practice.
- Hair: If you have long hair, tie it back to keep it out of the way during practical exercises.

What happens if I’m running late on the day?
If you’re running late for one of our training sessions, it’s important to understand that being on time is crucial so you don’t miss any essential content. For our short courses, if you arrive 15 minutes after the start time, this may mean you cannot attend. For our full-day courses, if you arrive 30 minutes after the start time, this may mean you cannot attend.
We understand that unexpected things can happen, so if you are running late, please try to contact your trainer to let them know. However, please do your best to arrive on time to get the most out of the course.
