Russell is a seasoned paramedic with a diverse career that spans military service and civilian emergency care. Born and raised in Wales, he served in the British Army as a Combat Medical Technician, where he developed a deep expertise in trauma management under high-pressure conditions. This experience ignited a lasting passion for trauma care, which led him to further his skills in civilian life, working with both the Welsh Ambulance Service and the East of England Ambulance Service.

Throughout his career, Russell has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of trauma care and passing on his knowledge to others. With a particular interest in sports trauma, he actively mentors and trains the next generation of medics, hoping to equip them with the practical skills needed to manage acute injuries in fast-paced environments. Russell also enjoys coaching his son’s rugby team, where he applies his trauma expertise to create a safer, more informed sporting environment for young athletes. When he's not working or coaching, Russell enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and their dog in their home in Wales, where his commitment to family, community, and personal growth continues to thrive. His goal is to share his extensive trauma experience, ensuring that future medical professionals are prepared to handle the complexities of injury care—whether in the field or on the playing field.
