Why we started Dragon Medical

As paramedics, we see every day how much the first few minutes matter, and how often the person who makes the difference is not a paramedic at all. It is a colleague, a coach, a parent or a passer-by who knew what to do and had the confidence to do it.

We started Dragon Medical to put those skills into more hands. Not just to tick a box for work or sport, but for the moments that matter in your own life: at home, on the touchline or in the street.

That is why we do not teach you to recite a protocol. We teach you to do it, hands-on and under realistic pressure, until it feels natural.

The best part of our job is knowing we have helped save a life. We want you to be able to do the same.

What makes our training different

Based in Wales, training across the UK

We run courses across South Wales and Bristol, and we will travel anywhere in the UK to train your group on site. Your team learns in their own environment, with no time lost to travel.

Blended or fully practical: you choose

Start with e-learning in your own time and then join us for a practical day, or do the whole course face to face. We will help you choose the format that suits you or your team.

See it before you do it

Our e-learning includes 4K videos showing each skill and realistic scenarios alongside the theory, so you arrive at your practical day already knowing what good looks like.

CPD hours you can log

Our BLS, ILS, EFAW, A-PHIST and Paediatric add-on courses are accredited by the CPD Certification Service (Provider No: 20561). You earn CPD hours, and you know the course is held to recognised industry standards.

Taught by people who have done it

Every trainer is a paramedic. We have managed these emergencies for real, so we teach you what actually works and prepare you for how it feels when it happens.

Train and equip your team

We supply ZOLL defibrillators and first aid kit, so you can train your people and equip your workplace, club or practice with one trusted provider.

Training shaped around your world

No two teams face the same emergencies, so we do not run the same course for everyone. Tell us where you work and we will focus your course on what you are most likely to see.

Work in tennis? Your scenarios happen on court. Run a dental practice? We spend more time on Basic Life Support (BLS) and patient assessment. Coach rugby? Expect head, neck and limb injuries at the side of the pitch.

Every course still covers its full syllabus. The tailoring is in where we spend the extra time.
